Which areas do you work in?

We are based in Ponteland and work across Ponteland, Darras Hall, Corbridge, Gosforth, the Northumberland coast, Newcastle upon Tyne and the wider North East. The projects on this site run from a cottage on the Northumberland coast at Bamburgh to family homes in Gosforth and Corbridge. If you are a little further afield, ask. We are always happy to talk it through.

What does the process involve?

We keep it to three steps. First, a conversation, where we listen to how you live, what you like, your budget and the story your space should tell. Then the concept: mood boards, spatial plans and ideas, refined with you until it feels right. Then creation, from sourcing to installation to final styling, with every detail managed along the way.

Do you take on single rooms, or only whole homes?

Both, and everything in between. Our full service takes a whole home from first conversation to final styling. A room refresh gives one cherished room new life, through paint, soft furnishings or a few statement pieces, without a complete overhaul. And if you just want a second opinion, a consultation is a good place to start.

Do you make curtains, blinds and soft furnishings yourselves?

Yes. We have our own workroom, and it makes the curtains, Roman blinds, pelmets, headboards, cushions and upholstered pieces that run through our schemes. Having it in-house means the fabric on your windows, your bed and your sofa is chosen together and made to fit, so a room reads as one idea rather than a collection of purchases. Do you do commercial work?

We do. Most of the projects you will see on this site are homes, but we work at every scale, from a single consultation to substantial commercial projects, and the same principles hold throughout: listen deeply, design thoughtfully, deliver beautifully. How long has Aubury & Co been going?

Since 2005. The studio traded for many years as Aubury Interiors, and it is the same team, the same founder and the same telephone number today. Cheryl founded the studio and still designs with us. Lauren, who trained at the Inchbald School of Design in London and worked in two London studios before returning North, is Partner and Principal Designer.

Can we visit the studio?

Yes, by appointment. We are in Ponteland, Northumberland, and we would rather give you our full attention than have you catch us mid-project, so do get in touch first and we will find a time that suits.
