From a studio in Kyiv, Nastia Mirzoyan makes interiors that refuse to be solemn. Her projects, from a renovated Stalinist-era flat to the plywood-panelled Bursa Bar, pair an acute reading of context with a mischievous streak. Working through hard times, she has turned playfulness into a form of quiet defiance.

Morris & Co. X The Huntington, known as The Unfinished Works, completes 26 never-before-seen William Morris and John Henry Dearle sketches held in The Huntington's California archive, repainted in the studio and translated across wallpapers, borders, fabrics, weaves and embroideries. It is the first genuinely new body of Morris design in over a century, which makes it a rare thing to reach for when a heritage scheme wants authentic pattern rather than another reissue.

Munich studio Holzrausch has renovated a townhouse into a deliberately dark, theatrical home, taking a film producer's storyboard of 1970s South American cinema and building it in smoked oak joinery, dark-stained okoume floors, Vitoria Regia quartzite and Wachenzeller limestone, with brushed stainless steel and pops of vibrant yellow cutting through the gloom.
